EIGHT COMPLETE TRANSFORMATIONS
Xmas came early for 8 lucky women from the YWCA and EMBERS (Eastside Movement for Business & Economic Renewal Society.) The 8 women were treated to a complete make-over from Toni&Guy Vancouver and Dress For Success. The 8 women spent the morning at the Toni&Guy Vancouver salon getting their hair cut and colored.

In the afternoon, the women were whisked away to the Dress For Success warehouse for a complete wardrobe make-over. Once an outfit was picked, it was back to the Toni&Guy salon for make-up. To end the day, the women were treated to a one-on-one photo shoot with fashion photographer Wilson Law.

EMBERS has a mission to create economic and employment opportunities for marginalized and disadvantaged people in the Downtown Eastside and inner-city of Vancouver. Our clients include immigrants, First Nations, single parents, recovering addicts and people with disabilities. Many of our clients are rebuilding their lives.
Dress for Success
Dress for Success Vancouver is a registered Canadian Charity that helps low and no income women to transition into the workforce by providing professional attire. Each Dress for Success client receives a suit for her interviews and a small working wardrobe when she gets her job. The suits we give symbolize our faith in every woman's ability to succeed.
